Hopefully one day you'll learn to sacrifice things for the better of another human being. You can't be a mom and not sacrifice. If you don't love your child enough to want what's best for them and sacrifice all the selfish desires of your own, like a career, then you're living for yourself. I really hope you figure this out one day. If not, I'm sure your future child will owe a lot to their future babysitter and not to you.
I recognize that to be a mom, you need to sacrifice things. You need to give up a lot, but wanting a career? That’s not a selfish thing.
Let’s pretend we’re not talking about Hilary Duff. Or anyone famous. Or anyone who even has a lot of money. If she was just a regular woman, would you say she should just stop working to raise a baby? No, because a baby just so happens to need food and clothes and shelter - and you can’t provide those without a job. That’s not selfish.
You won’t even show me who you are and have this discussion, so I’m done. Any further messages will be deleted.
Have a nice life.
